US Signals Strong Support for Greenland Critical
Minerals Exploration
Highlights
• Greenland’s critical minerals sector has gained further strategic prominence, after United States’
President Donald Trump’s announcement yesterday1
of preparations for major mineral exploration
activities, further highlighting growing US interest in Greenland’s extensive critical mineral resources.
• This latest development follows the landmark defence and security agreement signed between the
United States, Greenland and Denmark on 22nd
September 20262
, further underscoring Greenland’s
growing importance and its role in critical minerals supply chains.
• AuKing’s Qeqertaasaq Project represents one of Greenland’s notable historically identified high-grade
niobium projects, with associated rare earth mineralisation further strengthening its strategic relevance
amid increasing US engagement with Greenland’s critical minerals sector.
• Highly experienced Greenland-based exploration specialists Xploration Services Greenland A/S
engaged to undertake exploration activities at Qeqertaasaq, bringing over 20 years of management
experience in Greenland’s mineral exploration sector and an extensive track record supporting major
international mining companies.
AuKing Mining Limited (ASX: AKN) (“AuKing” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise the strong
commitment of the US Government to the exploration of critical minerals projects in Greenland, following
the Company’s recentproposed earn-in acquisition of the high-grade Qeqertaasaq Niobum and REE Project
in western Greenland.
Growing US Strategic Interest in Greenland’s Critical Minerals
Greenland’s critical minerals sector is attracting increased strategic interest from the United States,
highlighted by President Donald Trump’s latest announcement on 14th
October 2026 regarding plans for
major mineral exploration activities in Greenland. The latest development follows the landmark defence
and security agreement signed between the United States, Greenland and Denmark on 22nd
September
2026, further underscoring Greenland’s increasing geopolitical significance and its emerging role in global
critical minerals supply chains. In particular, President Trump posted the following statement via his Truth

Significant Greenland REE project owners Greenland Mines (Sarfartoq – just north of AuKing’s Qeqertaasaq
– share market value US$90M) and Critical Minerals Corp (Tanbreez – share market value US$930M) both
rose on early trading following Trump's announcement3
.
Qeqertaasaq Project — Targeting High-Grade Niobium Mineralisation
Exploration activities will initially focus on previously identified high-grade niobium mineralisation zones,
illustrated in Figure 1. As outlined in the Company’s announcement dated 13 October 2026, the
Qeqertaasaq Project was previously explored by Kryolitselskabet Øresund A/S (“KØ”) in the 1970’s.

3 This announcement contains references to REE Projects derived by other parties either nearby or proximate to or in similar geological settings to
the Qeqertaasaq Project, including Greenland Mines’ Sarfartoq project that was recently acquired for US$35M. It is important to note that such
discoveries or geological similarities do not in any way guarantee that the Company will have any success or similar successes in delineating a
JORC compliant Mineral Resource on the Qeqertaasaq Project, if at all.
